How to Celebrate World Heart Day | September 29

The more time you spend around cardiac patients and providers, the more you realize the journey towards heart health is rarely a path walked alone. Behind each individual in cardiac rehab you’ll find a team of support, accountability and dedication.

At LSI, we are passionate about our role of providing the tools and support for clinicians to continue providing life-enhancing cardiac care, because we know the cause is important.

The numbers behind heart disease are staggering. According to the Center for Disease Control, approximately 1 in every 4 deaths in the United States can be attributed to heart disease. As cardiac disease continues to top charts as the leading cause of death for both men and women across the country, coming together in pursuit of healthier hearts can have a life-saving effect.

World Heart Day is September 29. LSI invites you to celebrate the day with us by helping spread the word about the importance of caring for your heart! Here are two simple ways to join in the celebration:

Get Social!

Beginning the conversation about your heart health is an important place to start! We’ve put together a collection of shareable social media graphics to help start the dialogue. You can download your copies here, here, and here!

Use Your Heart!

Studies have found that the simple act of smiling can have a positive effect on lowering your heart rate. Celebrating World Heart Day in your cardiac rehab can be as simple as giving people something to smile about.

Print copies of these postcards and encourage people to write an encouraging message to someone else. You can download copies of these postcards here.
