Meet Mike Otte Scholarship Recipient | Vicky Yandle

During LSI’s 30+ years in the cardiopulmonary industry, we continually meet individuals who embody our shared dedication to improving lives. Mike Otte was one of those people. During his 34 years in medical sales, Mike Otte built meaningful relationships throughout the country and established a tireless commitment to the cardiopulmonary rehab industry.

In his memory, each year LSI awards one recipient with full accommodations, registration and travel to the annual AACVPR Meeting. Our industry needs people like Mike to serve as passionate advocates and informed providers. Providing professional scholarships is one piece of our dedication to cardiopulmonary rehab’s long-term growth.

We are excited to announce our 2016 recipient of the Mike Otte Scholarship – Vicky Yandle, nurse manager at Palmetto Health Richland.

Vicky has led the way in South Carolina’s industry advocacy, serving as the president and secretary-treasurer of SACVPR executive board. With her 27 years of cardiopulmonary rehab experience, Vicky has helped develop the sole cardiac and pulmonary programs at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC. Her work to reduce the rate of readmissions for Clinical Heart Failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at the center led to her recognition as the 2007 Outstanding Cardiopulmonary Rehab Individual.

Thank you for all you are doing in the industry, Vicky! We look forward to seeing you in New Orleans!

This year the AACVPR Annual Meeting will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana from September 7-10. Registration is still open and available here.
