Relationships are the engine that runs LSI. Which is why we’re so excited to cast a light on a relationship we’ve had for over a decade: McLeod Regional Medical Center. Founded in 1906, McLeod is a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system with more than 650 physicians and 6,000 employees. The organization is dedicated to serving the community of Florence, SC and its neighboring counties—a community more than one million strong.
Just over a year ago, Kim Lanier stepped into the role of Cardiac Rehab Manager for McLeod. Their rehab facility has used the LSI telemetry system for close to 15 years. Already Kim has experienced the unparalleled collaborative guidance and support of the LSI team.
A VERY SPECIAL LSI CLINICAL SPECIALIST
“Since starting my job, I have had the pleasure of working alongside Jennifer Broome, an LSI Clinical Specialist,” said Kim. “Jennifer is energetic, knowledgeable and extremely helpful in teaching my staff and myself this amazing system. She has come out to our program three times in the past year, teaching us something new each time.”
But for Jennifer Broome, the love, respect and gratitude is mutual: “The McLeod staff is amazing,” said Jennifer. “They’re always welcoming when I’m there and eager to learn new things the LSI system has to offer. Kim is very open-minded and takes any clinical suggestions I offer into serious consideration.”

LSI INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE
Recently, the McLeod facility upgraded to all new transmitters. Thanks to a wonderful collaboration between the McLeod staff and the LSI team, the transition went smoothly. “Jennifer and Dan spent one full day upgrading the system,” said Kim, “and then Jennifer spent the second day with my nurses answering questions, teaching them and helping them better our program. We haven’t used it to its full potential, but rest assured, after the day Jennifer had with my staff, we will do everything the system is designed to do.”
THE LSI ADVANTAGE
The McLeod staff is particularly excited about two major benefits of the LSI system: the ability to house all patient information in one system and a seamless integration with the AACVPR registry. The former is something Kim had really been pushing for. “It’s definitely been a work in progress,” said Jennifer, “but the staff is beginning to see the benefits of having all patient information housed in one place.” Kim’s also excited about a more seamless approach to tracking patient outcomes. “I cannot wait to start using the registry and transferring my data directly to the AACVPR registry,” she said.
The most meaningful reward for the LSI team during the installation was Kim’s gratitude, “Thank you LSI for making my cardiac rehab run smoothly!” The feeling is mutual, Kim. Thank you and all the McLeod staff, for your tireless dedication to improving the health of your patients. We’re proud to serve with you in that mission and hope to do so for many years to come.
