Adult Tricycle Winners at the 2017 AACVPR Annual Meeting

As part of our dedication to improving lives, LSI is committed to supporting cardiac and pulmonary rehab professionals. During conferences like AACVPR’s Annual Meeting, we enjoy the opportunity to connect with these professionals and help them improve their own lives.

If you stopped by our booth at AACVPR’s 32nd Annual Meeting in October, you probably noticed this year’s giveaway prizes: two adult tricycles. We chose adult tricycles because they provide a safe, fun way for people to participate in low impact exercise outdoors without worrying too much about balance or stamina.

This year, Clare La Morte and Peggy Hutfliz were the two recipients of these prizes.

Our first winner, Clare La Morte is a registered nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital and she was very excited to take the tricycle for a spin as soon as she could. Here she is at the LSI booth with Nancy McCleary, who is also a registered nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Our second winner, Peggy Hutfliz, is an exercise physiologist at St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN. She gifted her adult tricycle to her mother-in-law, Patti, who is a recent cardiac rehab patient. Peggy shared Patti’s story with us, and we were honored to deliver the tricycle to Patti in Michigan. Patti and her husband are happy and grateful that they can ride together again.
