Application Specialist Position

Position Overview

The Application Specialist is a key member of a national team delivering patient monitoring and management solutions to hospitals, wellness centers, research facilities, and medical institutions supporting cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. This role partners closely with Regional Directors and cross-functional teams to support both existing customer relationships and a strong pipeline of new opportunities.

Success in this role is driven by a consultative mindset, strong technical and clinical understanding, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences throughout the sales, implementation, and support lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Implementation

  • Promote Company products and services to both existing and prospective customers through relationship-driven, consultative engagement.
  • Lead and support on-site implementation of systems at customer facilities.
  • Provide comprehensive training on software, hardware, and system components.
  • Maintain and grow customer relationships through regular on-site visits, in-services, and technical support.
  • Assess customer workflows and patient care processes to recommend scalable, effective solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on industry topics, trends, and best practices related to patient monitoring and rehabilitation programs.

Sales & Technical Support

  • Participate in pre-sales and discovery calls as a technical and clinical resource alongside Regional Directors.
  • Review and contribute to technical documentation required during the sales and implementation process.
  • Support technical conference calls during system implementations and serve as a technical project resource as assigned.
  • Partner with Customer Support and Regional Directors to manage escalations and resolve complex or at-risk accounts.
  • Provide ongoing technical consultation and problem resolution for both hardware and software applications.
  • Ensure accurate, timely updates within the CRM for accounts, facilities, and contacts.

Advocacy & Continuing Education

  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, regulatory and compliance requirements, and program standards.
  • Develop a working knowledge of hospital IT infrastructure, security standards, and best practices.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events as required.
  • Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing to support customer success and internal teams.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in hospital, healthcare IT, or clinical system implementation/support.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Information Systems, Information Technology, Exercise Physiology, Business, or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or comparable technical certifications.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform physical installation tasks (e.g., antenna systems).

Preferred

  • Experience with patient monitoring, telemetry, or medical device systems.
  • Experience working in a clinical or healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with healthcare sales cycles and industry trends.

  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%) for customer support, training, sales support, and industry events.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Total Compensation: Starting at $75,000–$85,000, inclusive of base salary, project-based commissions, and performance bonuses.
  • Benefits: Car allowance, expense reimbursement, comprehensive health, dental, life, and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match.

*All LSI employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company growth and individual performance.
